Colo Colo (http://www.colocolo.cl/) will today play against Mexican outfit Pachuca for the Copa Sudamericana title!
Both sides play quality football and both sides are the actual champions of the Chilean and Mexican Championships respectively.
At Colo Colo, they have wunderkid MatÃas Fernandez who has been a revelation for Chilean football (earning him a European transfer to Spanish side Villareal). They also have striker Humberto Suazo who may also be on his way to the old continent.
Colo Colo's last reign of glory was in 1991 when they won the prestigious Copa Libertadores (South America's answer or antithesis to the European Champions League). In that campaign they defeated some great sides including Boca Juniors of Argentina as well as Nacional of Uruguay (two previous winners of the title).
Let's hope that a repeat of that glory is replicated on the fields of Mexico and Santiago for the return leg (where they have been in scintilating form).
